Sveti Sava

Today we spent the morning at Saint Sava's. Not only is it the largest church in Belgrade; it's the largest Orthodox church in the world, the third largest church in all of Europe, and among the ten largest in the world of any denomination. It dominates Belgrade's skyline. Construction began in 1935 on the foundation of the orginal Saint Sava, but the inside has yet to be completed. There is a smaller church immediately next to it with a beautiful interior.

After we explored the the buildings, the kids played in the park in front of the church. And we treated them to some candy from one of the nearby vendors.

Oh, and as you can see, Fox got his head shaved. I don't want to talk about it....
