We spent two weeks in Louisiana, splitting the time with both sets of grandparents. All of our siblings were there with their children, too. It was a wonderful Chirstmas. And, we had a special visitor at the Burton residence on Christmas Eve. Apparently, Santa had heard that our neice Sequoia had doubts that he was coming. In order to prove her wrong, Santa stopped by the house to visit the kids and deliver Christmas books before beginning his journey around the world. After that, none of us doubted that he was coming. Here are some pictures with the kids.

When Santa came in the house, all of the girls panicked. Eden ran for her bed, saying "Santa's here, we've got to get in bed now!" But the boys--Fox and Eli--were not the least bit shy. Eli stole his hat in the first couple of minutes, and Fox kept sneaking up behind him to try to put it back on. Here's a picture of them trying to play with Mr. Kringle.

We had lots of other fun evenings, but forgot to take pictures most nights. Here are a couple of shots of our bonfire at the Burton home and one of Eden riding Papa Thompson's three wheeler.
The 20-hour car ride home was a bit tiring, but worth it. We had quite the haul of presents. Poor Bela couldn't fit in back, so he had to squeeze in next to two toddler car seats. But he was happy just being included.
