Zoo Trips

The Zoo here is really neat...and free (sort of). We've been a couple of times now and we've all been really impressed. Eden's favorite is the lions, of course- oh, and the lemon chills.

One of the reasons why the DC zoo is unique is the panda exhibit. There is a gorgeous outside enclosure and some areas inside as well. We were lucky enough to be the only ones inside when this panda came in and practically started dancing. The kids got a kick out of it.

Here's an orangatan asleep with his face up against the glass.

They also have the O-line for the orangatans. It's a series of wires and towers set up all throughout the zoo that enables them to roam free ( in the sky anyways). Apparently they have incredible balance. Unfortunately for us, they think it's funny to spit.

As always, the barnyard area was a huge hit.
