Conversations with Eden

Eden LOVES to wear jammies. This is one of her favorite things. It takes a lot of bargaining power to get her to change into an outfit for the day. So, I have certain rules set up so that Eden doesn't spend the entire day in her nightgown. One of those is that we can't go outside in our jammies. That means that if she wants to go to the park or play outside she has to put clothes on. The other day we were having this battle again. She wanted to wear her nightgown outside to play and I wouldn't allow it. Then Eden said "But Wendy got to wear her nightgown when she went to Neverland. Why can't I wear my nightgown outside?" What could I say to that? She made a good argument. I couldn't believe that the thing she most remembered about Peter Pan was the fact that Wendy wore her jammies outside.
