As many of you know, the kids got pretty good playing their song together. Andrew and I were so proud of them at the talent show. I thought that for Father's Day Andrew would enjoy a lasting memory of their performance. Fox's drum teacher Vlada found us a studio that would record the kids playing onto a CD. I loaded up all their gear, checked the kids out of school, drove across town to the studio and set up. The kids had a lot of fun as you can see from the pictures. They played the song about 5 times and then Vlada (there was another Vlada that ran the studio) took the best parts of each take and put them together. It was pretty cool to watch. After that, he played the song back to the kids while they sang it and he put it all together. Needless to say, Andrew liked it more than I thought he would (and I thought he would like it a lot).

Happy Birthday and Happy Father's Day
It was a busy weekend over here recently. Fox's birthday and Father's Day are usually pretty close together and this year they were in the same weekend. We told the kids we weren't having parties here for them and instead they can celebrate with their cousins when they get to Louisiana. Fox did have one friend over though to enjoy the day's festivities which included Jurrasic World (no nightmares to date!) at the mall, and crafts and dinner/cake at home. I'm just realizing that we didn't take many pictures but here are a few of the birthday boy. I think it was a good day.
