The Mitten Tea Party

For the next few days I hope to play a little bit of catch up with the blog. I've taken 300 pictures since my last post so I have a bit of work ahead of me. Let's start here though with Eden's class tea party that was a few weeks ago. Parents were invited to come during the day to a little party about the book "The Mitten" by Jan Brett. We love this book so it was fun to have a whole hour devoted to bringing it to life in her class. First Mrs. Escudero began by reading the book to everyone.
Fox got to come! Eden made sure to take care of him and get him a seat next to her square on the carpet.
Look at this pretty girl. I was so sad that this photo was a little out of focus- something I really need to work on in the future as you'll see in the next couple of posts.

Then Miss Escudero had all the kids act out the story. Each of the children took turns being different anilmals who got under the mitten. When all the animals were inside then they all sneezed and fell out. Super cute people!

Afterwards, there was a fun snack to share with everyone.

It was a really fun day for all of us. We miss this little girl during the day so it was fun to go to her class and hang out with her and see some of the things she's learning about. She's got another one coming up next week focusing on the Presidents of the US. I'll keep you posted.
