Whenever Eden wants something she has grown accustomed recently to shouting for it. "I want milk! I want MILK! GIVE ME MILK!" So, we've been working on teaching her how to ask nicely. I say, "Eden, when you want something you say 'Mommy/Daddy, can I have (fill in the blank) please?'" We've been making some progress. While I was nursing Fox recently I heard Eden in the kitchen ransacking the snack drawer. She found the bag of Craisins and began to have the following conversation with herself.
Eden: "Mommy, can I have these please?"
Eden: "Yes!"
Eden: "Thank you Mommy!"
Afterwhich she proceeded to eat the entire bag. When she was done, she brought me the empty bag so proud of herself that I couldn't scold her. I just hope that next time I can be part of the dialogue.

Mandy,
I'm so glad you're putting Eden's cute comments on your blog. It's not only great for the grandparents and greatgrandparents, but you can look back and remember all her cute stages of babyhood. Thanks,
Gma Rosemary
